Just a quick note to let you know that the Christmas party for neighborhood children went exceptionally well. Lina Puchicama did a wonderful job of organizing. Our staff and volunteers, as well as many church members from El Shaday, made it all happen.
Each child received a gift. Some money was donated, and also the women of the church worked very hard in fund-raising to make this time a real blessing. There were games, presents, a telling of the Nativity Story, and food for all of the children and adults. We estimate almost eighty children came, as well as their parents.

Happy New Year Welcome to 2016!
Plans, promises to yourself, hopes and dreams. These are the things that often accompany the changing of years - turning a calendar page somehow encourages us to turn a new leaf.
Do you have some dreams? Is God calling you to a new path, a deeper faith? Are you a little afraid while you are also excited?
Well, just so you know, you aren't alone. All of us are in a season of some kind of change. God is not static - he is always moving, and calling us to follow.
Will you take some time to meditate on his goodness today? Only when we are grounded in the love and mercy of God will we have the courage to take risks.
Colossians 2:6, 7
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
